COMMITMENT LEVEL

Stompin’ Beatz Company members commit to the season beginning in August and running through Nationals, typically held in early July. This is a serious, season-long commitment that requires reliability, dedication, and teamwork. Members and parents will sign a commitment agreement to uphold the standards of the team.

Our competition team participates in 1–2 conventions, 3–4 regional competitions, and 1 national competition every other season. Consistent attendance, preparation, and full participation are essential to our success.

At Stompin’ Beatz, competition is about growth, passion, and pushing limits—not just winning. Our dancers step onto stages across the region and nation, gaining exposure to incredible talent and innovative choreography that pushes them to evolve. Each performance sharpens their focus, builds mental toughness, and teaches the art of delivering their best under pressure.

The journey also teaches the importance of preparation, teamwork, and perseverance. Hours of training, learning new choreography, and perfecting details instill a work ethic that lasts far beyond the dance floor. Dancers discover how to balance individual responsibility with the needs of the group, developing leadership skills and a strong sense of accountability.

Most importantly, being part of the Stompin’ Beatz Company creates a supportive, driven community where dancers develop discipline, artistry, and confidence—while building lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories along the way.

AUDITION

WANT TO AUDITION?

  • The Stompin' Beatz Competition Team is gearing up for an exciting 2026–2027 season, and auditions are coming soon! 

  • While we are still finalizing audition dates, families can now join our Priority Registration List to be among the first to receive audition information and updates.

  • Our Competition Team program welcomes dancers ages 3–18 and offers opportunities in multiple styles including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary.

  • Whether your dancer is already part of the Stompin' Beatz family, interested in competition dance for the first time, or searching for the right fit for next season, we'd love to meet them.

WHO CAN AUDITION?

Everyone is welcome to audition!

  • You do not need to be a current Stompin' Beatz student to audition for our Competition Team!

  • Whether your dancer is already part of the Stompin' Beatz family, interested in trying competition dance for the first time, or searching for the right fit for next season, we'd love to welcome them to auditions. We especially encourage our own recreational dancers to take the leap and go for it! You don't need an invitation—just the drive to grow, the commitment to work hard, and the enthusiasm to be part of a supportive, uplifting team.

Competition opportunities are available for dancers ages 3–18, and dancers may audition for the styles they are most interested in pursuing.

PRE COMPETITION TEAM

  • ​In addition to our Competition Team, we now offer Pre-Competition Team opportunities for dancers who are interested in experiencing the excitement of competition while easing into the process.

  • The Pre-Competition Team is still part of our overall Competition Team program, but is designed with a lighter level of commitment, making it a great fit for dancers who are new to competition or looking to build confidence before taking the next step.

  • Our audition process also helps us determine the best placement for each dancer so they can thrive and succeed.
